Surfing Byron Bay P/L. The Fun, Passionate caring Surf School in Byron Bay.
One of the best opportunities for you to be able to have fun Learning to Surf or obtaining new skills with us,in beautiful pristine waters of one of the surf beaches within the Byron Shire.
Our Surf Coaches and office staff enjoy the sport or surfing that much that they do practice what they preach and go surfing regularly.
Coaching Staff are accredited through Surfing Australia, Australian Sports Commision, and Australian Coaching Council.
We all love the idea of coaching and encouraging you, our client, to enjoy the fun, safety and wellbeing of our fantastic sport called surfing.
Our expertise covers all aspects of surfing from body-boarding, short-boarding through to long-boarding, from beginner to elite.
Serena Adams co-founded Surfing Byron Bay P/L and has been coaching and instructing for over 15 years. Serena started surfing at 3 years old and has been surfing continuously since then, both overseas and all around Australia.
Serena is from a family of surfers, her mother Christine, father Peter and sister Teresa are all heavily involved in Surfing Byron Bay P/L. Her other siblings are also keen surfers.
Paul Laverick, Greg Lawson, Shayne Banks and Angus Goozee are our fantastic surfing team of instructors.

Safe Surfing Program
Equipment & Board Hire
All equipment including transport from the Surf School to beach is supplied, Equipment includes; Boards, wet suites, rash/sun shirts and sun screen. All you need to bring is a towel, a hat and be ready for some fun.
Board hire is avaliable but conditions apply.

Introductory Beginner Lesson
Daily - 9:30 am and 1:00pm
No surfing experience necessary.
Beginner Intermediate Lesson
Suitable for the surfer with minimum experience but has had a few surfing lessons prior.

Surfing & Education
Surf Education For Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Universities and English Schools
Surfing Byron Bay P/L offers a range of surf safety, surf education, surfboard riding, bodysurfing and bodyboard programs all year round for students. All programs are tailored for the school and the age of the participants.
Our programs and Surf School are the only surf school endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission in Byron Bay.
We run our programs in conjunction with Surfing Australia's Safe Surfing Program and the N.S.W. Education Department Risk Assessment guidlines.
Our tiered programs range from the beginner to the elite.
Our programs all include the dangers of the Ocean, Rips, Currents, Tides and Surfing Skills. All staff are trained in Surf Coaching by Surfing Australia and hold current First Aid and Resuscitation Qualifications.

Swell 2ft E - Rating 4 - Winds 5kts - High Tide 05:30 am & 05:34 pm - Low Tide 11:18 am & 12:25 pm - Clean small 1-2ft waves on the sets early this morning in the bay, open beaches are 2ft plus and worth a check early. Check Coastalwatch for updated swell forecasts. - Wind: NE/SE to 10 knots, becoming E/NE in the afternoon and evening. N/NW to 10 knots inshore early. Sea: to about 1 metre. Swell: E'ly 1 to 1.5 metres.
Small conditions all over open side, clean in morning
wind swinging round in arvo will blow everything out.

No matter how large or small your group, we can design a program to suit your team requirements.
We offer lessons on surfboard riding, bodyboarding, beach games and other activities within Byron Bay.
We take the worry out of organising a day or camp for you.

3. Surfing with lunch followed by a 2nd activity and then dinner

Terms and Conditions
All lessons need to be booked via this websites Shopping Cart or by calling
02 66 857 099.
Surf lessons will be cancelled due to dangerous surf conditions i.e. when the beaches have been closed.
All participants will be given a refund or a credit in this situation.
Surf lessons are not normally cancelled due to rain.
All participants/parents or guardians must read and agree to the indemnity form prior to each lesson.
No money will be refunded, or credit given, unless Surfing Byron Bay P/L has been notified of a cancellation 24 hours before the lesson is to start.
If Surfing Byron Bay P/L has been given 24 hours notice of the cancellation a credit or refund will be made.
Lessons can be transferred to another person or family member.
